Ordering & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit and debit cards are accepted through Stripe (including Apple Pay and Google Pay where available) and PayPal. Full payment details are handled by those providers rather than stored directly on the site.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Checkout uses industry-standard encryption via Stripe and PayPal. Full card numbers are not stored on the site.
Can I place an order over the phone?
Yes. Get in touch during business hours for help with an order or a book search.
Book Authenticity & Condition
How do you describe book condition?
Standard bibliographic condition grades (Fine, Very Fine, Near Fine, Very Good, etc.) are used, with defects, edition points, and notable features described in each listing. Get in touch if you need more detail before buying.
What do your condition grades mean?
Fine (F) — nearly new with minimal wear; Very Fine (VF) — slight handling; Near Fine (NF) — minor flaws; Very Good (VG) — wear but complete and attractive. See the condition notes on each item for specifics.
Do you purchase books from collectors?
Yes. Individual books and collections may be purchased, and consignment is available. Get in touch with title, author, publisher, date, and condition - or use the consignment page for photos and details.
Shipping & Delivery
How are books packaged for shipping?
Protective packaging suited to books and high-value items is used - acid-free materials, sturdy boxes, and extra cushioning when needed.
What are your shipping options?
Domestic US orders use Free Economy Shipping (qualifying books under $250) and Standard Shipping (calculated from weight, size, and handling). International rates are calculated at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, to many countries. Duties, taxes, and import fees are the buyer's responsibility. See the Shipping page for regions and estimates.
Book Care & Collecting
How should I care for my rare books?
Store upright away from direct sun, heat, and humidity (ideally about 60–70°F and 45–55% RH). Handle with clean, dry hands and support the spine when opening.
What makes a book valuable?
Rarity, condition, edition, author significance, provenance, dust jacket, inscriptions, and current demand all matter. Get in touch to discuss a specific copy.
Do you buy rare books from collectors?
Yes. Get in touch with details about your books for a preliminary assessment. Purchase or consignment can be discussed from there.
