Agreement

By accessing or using the NOLA Rarities website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Accounts and Eligibility

Account Registration

You may need an account to check out or manage orders. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly of unauthorized access to your account.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or place an order. By using the site, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless you notify us of unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a security or fraud risk.

Orders and Purchases

Product Listings

We sell rare, first-edition, and collectible books and select works of art. Each listing describes condition, edition points, and notable features to the best of our ability. Photographs and descriptions are part of the listing; contact us before purchasing if you need additional detail.

Pricing and Availability

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted and may change without notice until an order is accepted. Inventory for unique items is limited; availability is not guaranteed until checkout is complete and payment is authorized.

Order Acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order before shipment—for example, due to pricing errors, suspected fraud, unavailable inventory, or restrictions on shipping to your location. If payment was captured, a refund will be issued for the canceled portion.

Taxes and Import Duties

Tax (U.S. sales tax or international VAT/GST where we collect) is calculated at checkout when your shipping address is complete and shown in your order total. Amounts shown in your order summary are what we charge at checkout. Import customs duties and carrier fees are not included unless stated separately in your order total; when not prepaid, those charges are typically collected on delivery. We ship only to countries listed at checkout.

Payment, Shipping, and Returns

Payment

Payment is processed through Stripe or PayPal. By submitting payment, you authorize the charge for your order total, including shipping and applicable tax. Full card details are handled by the payment provider, not stored on NOLA Rarities servers.

Shipping

Shipping methods, packaging standards, and delivery estimates are described on our Shipping page. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier for domestic shipments, subject to carrier terms and any applicable law.

Returns and Exchanges

Returns and exchanges are governed by our Returns & Exchanges policy. Eligibility, timeframes, and procedures are described there and incorporated into these terms by reference.

Site Use and Intellectual Property

Permitted Use

You may use the site for lawful personal or business purposes related to browsing, purchasing, and consigning items. You may not scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with site operation, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the site to commit fraud, misrepresent identity, resell access, upload malware, harass staff or other users, or violate applicable laws. We may investigate and cooperate with authorities regarding suspected abuse.

Our Content

Site content—including text, images, logos, and listing descriptions—is owned by NOLA Rarities or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute site content without prior written permission, except for personal reference related to a purchase.

Disclaimers and Liability

The site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We strive for accurate descriptions and reliable operation but do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NOLA Rarities is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or purchase of items. Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
